Nina Montejano is a San Diego artist dedicated to creating work about personal perception. Her work takes the space of the home as a subject, disrupting the familiar through relatively realistic representation. She attempts to create images that are derived from the everyday, but non-narrative and ambiguous, to challenge the viewers’ perception of the work and reception of meaning. Nina earned her Bachelor of Arts in visual arts and architecture from the University of San Diego in 2019. She is happy to have earned a studio space in the Liberty Station ARTS DISTRICT and hopes to use her time here to continue making work in preparation for graduate school.
Nina will be creating work in the space during her weekly hours. She will have work on display and will have some pieces for sale.
