Liberty Station Honors 250 Years of America

In 2026, Liberty Station proudly joins the nation in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States—marking a milestone that reflects the ideals of freedom, service, and community. As the former Naval Training Center, Liberty Station is uniquely connected to this history, having played a vital role in shaping generations of sailors who served our country.

Throughout the anniversary year, Liberty Station will host a series of tributes and community experiences honoring America’s founding and the U.S. Navy’s 250 years of service. From new public art installations and patriotic property-wide branding to meaningful moments of remembrance and celebration, these efforts are designed to connect the past with the present while honoring those who have served.

Highlights include a year-long public art installation by artist Joe Pisano honoring the Navy’s legacy, supported by the Resurrecting Lives Foundation; Military Heroes Festival initiatives that invite guests to support deployed sailors; and Anchored in Freedom: An Independence Day Celebration, a community-wide celebration held on July 3, 2026, recognizing both America’s birthday and Liberty Station’s deep naval roots.

As banners across the property wish the nation a “Happy Birthday, America,” Liberty Station invites visitors to reflect, learn, and celebrate—honoring history while creating new memories in a place where service and community have always come first.
