Allison & Partners
The San Diego office holds a special place in the hearts of Allison+Partners' founders, with Scott Allison and Scott Pansky proud graduates of San Diego State University. Being just a few minutes from the beach isn’t bad either, and after we shake the sand out of our hair, it’s time to get serious. We work with brands and corporations big and small, including a plethora in the hotel and restaurant industry, from campgrounds to hotels to auto manufacturers. But our expertise doesn’t stop there. Among our variety of expertise, we work with renewable energy firms, consumer technology and gaming brands, and are really getting into cloud-based marketing - which tends to be the only clouds we’re concerned with here where the weather is perpetually perfect. Even if you had only 24 minutes to experience San Diego, taking a stroll around Balboa Park would be a must. Built for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition, this city-owned playground is the nation’s largest urban cultural park and boasts striking Spanish-Renaissance architecture. Inhale the scent of 2,100 tropical and flowering plants sheltered within the Botanical Building, a domed wood lath house, and don’t miss the lily ponds out front. Take a pause for al fresco dining at the romantic Prado restaurant, offering California-modern cuisine in the historic House of Hospitality. Balboa Park is home to 15 museums, so if you only have an afternoon of meandering, consider the San Diego Museum of Art’s legendary collection of Spanish art which includes masterpieces by El Greco, Goya, and Sorolla. Or walk along Cabrillo Bridge for downtown views and take in an afternoon Shakespearean play at the Old Globe Theatre, a West Coast minor league for Broadway of sorts. Drive the scenic Cabrillo Freeway (California 163) south to the Interstate 5 and wind down the windows before you zip across the sky-blue painted San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge. Cruise by a panoramic view of the city’s skyscrapers and a row of U.S. Navy warships protectively docked to the south to enter the picturesque All-American city of Coronado, home to the elite Navy SEALs training compound and more retired admirals per capita than any other American city. Check out the grand lobby of the historic Hotel Del Coronado and sip a frosty margarita during happy hour on the Sun Deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. When night falls over, head back across the bridge for dinner and nightlife downtown in the famous Gaslamp Quarter, home to dozens of trendy bars and restaurants in restored historic buildings. Visit the Altitude Sky Lounge atop the Marriott for cool breezes and 22-floor high views of the night skyline. End your 24-hour romp in comfort at the Hotel Indigo San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, the city’s only LEED-certified sustainable hotel.
