tina mardan- Emerging Artist in Residence

Tina Mardan is an Iranian visual artist based in San Diego California. She works across different mediums such as photography, painting, drawing and interdisciplinary art.Her practice explores ideas of identity, memory, home and the mundane through the interaction of different media and her experiences of immigration at a young age. She has recieved her BFA at San Diego State University and has had formal education in textile art in the Art University of Tehran in Iran. She is presently focused on developing new works that explore with various materials to explore the dominant themes in her body of work and she is also a current Emerging Artist in Residence for Visual Arts with Arts District Liberty Station
