Headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, – with offices in Torrance and San Diego, CA; Auburn, WA; Colorado Springs, CO; Plano, TX; and Raleigh, NC – Hire Heroes USA has built a national reputation of excellence for helping veterans find jobs: now at the rate of more than 60 veterans confirmed hired every week. Thanks to the tax free contributions of generous donors and funders, our services are provided at no cost to the transitioning service member, veteran or spouse. Our team of former military and business professionals effectively trains veterans in the skills of self-marketing, then supports their career search until they find good jobs with great companies. The hallmark of our program is a personal approach where each veteran receives dedicated assistance from a highly-trained staff member in order to help the veteran overcome barriers to employment. Signature services also include group workshops and connecting the job seeker with veteran-friendly companies and employment opportunities through the Hire Heroes USA Job Board. Situation - As the U.S. military adjusts to smaller overseas commitments and deep budget cuts, one million men and women are expected to transition out of the military into the civilian workforce over the next four years. Without effective transition assistance, many of these former military members could join the ranks of 500,000 unemployed veterans (Bureau of Labor Statistics, July 2015). Impact - Our team’s laser focus on a narrow mission; our consistently effective, personalized service delivery at a national level; our development and maintenance of enduring relationships with some of the most respected businesses and nonprofits in the country; and our uncompromising focus on results, have contributed to a success rate of more than 60 confirmed hires every week in 2015. Approach - We empower transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses by building the confidence and skills necessary to seek civilian employment through our free, individualized career coaching and workshops. We collaborate with military leaders and transition coordinators to spread awareness of and increase access to our services. We partner with more than 200 veteran friendly companies to offer relevant and up-to-date job postings on the Hire Heroes USA Job Board.
