KeyNote, home of San Diego Youth Symphony
For nearly 80 years, the KeyNote organization, home of San Diego Youth Symphony, has served as a catalyst for investing in the future of thousands of young San Diegans through rigorous and inspiring music education programming. Through KeyNote’s flagship youth orchestra programs in Balboa Park, our community engagement programs working to restore and enhance music programs in our schools, and our early childhood curriculum serving more than one thousand families, KeyNote is San Diego’s most comprehensive provider of cradle-to-college music education programs and is a national leader in innovative community engagement.
KeyNote is laying the foundation for future growth and community service through music education. We believe that music is a vehicle for giving young people the social, emotional, and academic skills that transcend traditional educational models and prepare them to enter a 21st-century workforce. Our values, which embrace collaboration, commitment, creativity, equity, and service, are the foundation of every KeyNote program. We respect every young person who takes part in our programs and celebrate their accomplishments as musicians, as members of our community, and as future leaders. Learn more at www.keynote-music.org.
