The series kicks off with International vocal sensation Allison Adams Tucker. Her splendid language skills are on display as she performs songs in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese. Next is pianist Steve Baker and the Baker Boys featuring guest vocalist, Rachel Drexler. They will dedicate a segment of their show to “Single Awareness Day”, the flip side of St. Valentine’s Day (for all those without a special someone to celebrate with). Next is the high-energy swing dancing of Sue Palmer and the Motel Swing Orchestra. Sue’s high energy boogie-woogie will light up the White Box with the swing dancers that follow her shows. The series concludes with the Joshua White Trio. Joshua won second place in the Thelonius Monk Piano Competition in 2011. Since then he has played to wide acclaim for his exciting and eclectic approach to jazz improvisation. His trio will add colorful textures to the exciting interplay between jazz musicians.   San Diego Dance Theater, a resident modern dance company at the Dorothea Laub Dance Place in ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station, is best known as a hub for professional modern dance in the San Diego region, including the production of their annual site-specific dance adventure Trolley Dances. This organization has a full range of offerings that include technical training for dancers, showcasing the local talent of up-and-coming choreographers, and producing high quality dance performances featuring the professional San Diego Dance Theater company of dancers.
