husk/vessel

KAIROS Dance Theater's husk/vessel, a collaboration with legendary choreographer Paula Josa-Jones, is a powerful dance-theater work that explores the body as both a vessel of memory and a husk shaped by time, resilience, and loss. The piece was created entirely during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through raw physicality, haunting imagery, and dynamic choreography, the piece navigates the tension between strength and fragility, presence and impermanence. A meditation on transformation, husk/vessel invites audiences into a visceral, immersive experience where movement becomes both an act of survival and surrender. Join us for an evening shaped by breath, bone and the fragile power of being human.
