Command Center, Building 200

Welcome to the nerve center of the base: the Command Center. Built in 1941, the Command Center overlooks Preble Field, one of the marching plazas. Unlike other buildings that may have changed uses over the years, the Command Center has always been the place for the top brass.

These were the offices for the highest-ranking officers, including the admiral in command of the center, the station commander (a captain in charge of the buildings), the recruit training commander (a captain in charge of the recruits), the service school commander (a captain in charge of the advanced schools), and the master chief of the command, who was a senior enlisted advisor to the admiral. Base leadership hosted meetings with visiting dignitaries in the adjoining conference rooms.
