Teens | Sewing: Fundamentals & Garment Construction, 13-18yrs

Learn to sew your own clothing!
Monday through Friday
Aug 3 – 7, from 1 – 4pm

Ages 13+years welcome! This class is designed for teens who want to learn machine sewing skills to explore making their own clothes. Instructor & Sewist Hannah Gioutlos will guide students as they gain confidence using a sewing machine; practice essential techniques like seam finishes, hems, and zippers; and explore how to read and follow a garment pattern.
Along the way, teens will work on beginner-friendly garment projects that build real sewing skills and result in wearable pieces. Whether you’re dreaming of making your own wardrobe, customizing thrift finds, or simply learning a valuable skill, this class will give your teen the tools and knowledge to get started.
No prior sewing experience is required.

Note: If your child/teen will bring their own sewing machine, it is very important to make sure it is fully functional. You will need all the cords, the manual, the presser foot, at least 1 bobbin and the bobbin case. Check this ahead of time.
