Sur(render): A live painted dance experience

Sur(render) is an experimental dance performance where the audience will witness the creation of a painting before their eyes.

"When I paint I am influenced by the texture of the paper, the viscosity of the paint, the condition of the brush. I reach down to make a thin line and it comes out plump. Then the picture takes a new direction - I influencing it; it influencing me" -Hugh Prather

Watch as Lexii Regina (Liberty Station emerging artist) and Celina Naima Speck navigate the balance between curiously crafting the painting through their movements and surrendering to the excitement of the unknown. Live music performed by Sergio Bocanegra.

Danced performance expected to last approximately 15 minutes with an opportunity to enjoy live music and art following completion of piece. Please stick around to speak to the artists.

This will be Lexii Regina's final event as an Arts District: Liberty Station Emerging Artist.
