Scrap Lab

Scrap Lab is a hands-on creative making session for elementary-age kids (ages 4-12) where imagination runs the show. Each session, kids arrive to a table loaded with recycled and reclaimed materials, cardboard, fabric scraps, bottle caps, wire, tape, and more, plus a simple open-ended prompt to spark their thinking.

Each month features a new theme prompt that changes what kids make and how they think. Past prompts have included "Build something that moves," "Make a home for an imaginary creature," and "Create something that surprised you." You'll always find something new to explore.

There are no instructions, no wrong answers, and no finished product required. Kids build, invent, problem-solve, and create freely while our trained facilitators support the process with curious questions and zero pressure.
