Reflecting Traditions: Mirror Embroidery Workshop for Persian Summer Solstice

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the Persian summer solstice while preserving and promoting the traditional art of mirror embroidery. By collaborating with the Visions Museum of Textile Art and expert artisans, we aim to create a memorable and impactful experience for all participants. Engaging in mirror embroidery fosters mindfulness, as the rhythmic stitching requires focus and patience, creating a meditative state that enhances creativity and inner calm. The repetitive, intentional movements help quiet the mind, reducing stress and promoting overall mental well-being. This practice not only connects participants to a rich cultural tradition but also serves as a powerful tool for relaxation and self-expression. This event is appropriate for participants who are age 12 and up.
