Pinched Nesting Bowls

Taught by guest artist Georgi Stevens.

During this 2 hour workshop, create a set of pinched nesting pots using the hand-building method.

Three to 4 small nesting bowls with simple surface designs

Each bowl is at least 100 grams smaller or larger than the other in order to fit all bowls all together.

Texturing with repeated patterns, patterns are fairly simple marks or shapes.

The final set may be glazed in your chose of either clear, green, floating orange, blue, or white.

Growing up across the United States, until settling down in San Diego, Georgi was introduced to ceramics her final year of high school starting her art practice. She would later continue her work at San Diego State where she graduated with a BA in Ceramics. Focusing in hand built forms, she hopes to make ceramics accessible, and a positive experience to those who engage with the medium.
