People Who Look Like Art by Lorraine Triolo

The Mandell Weiss Gallery proudly presents "People Who Look Like Art," an exhibition of photographs by Lorraine Triolo curated by Elizabeth Tobias.

The exhibit opens Friday, October 6 from 6-8pm in collaboration with Overture, San Diego Ballet’s season kickoff event, a free First Friday ARTS DISTRICT Event. The exhibit runs through February.

Triolo is a Los Angeles based artist who works within a wide range of media. “Often when I’m at art shows I notice that people look like the artworks they are standing near,” explained Triolo. “They can be related by colors, details or patterns – it happens more often than you would imagine and it’s fascinating. The photos in this series were serendipitously captured at museums, galleries, art fairs and openings, and they all took only a minute or so to photograph.”

The Mandell Weiss Gallery is open daily from 9am-9pm and is located in the Dorothea Laub Dance Place at 2650 Truxtun Rd. This is program of San Diego Ballet funded in part by the Mandell Weiss Charitable Trust and the NTC Foundation. The exhibit runs through January 12, 2024.
