Painting a large beautiful landscape is like adding to your room an extra window with a nice view. The objective of landscape paintings is not to recreate the scene exactly, but to create a piece that romanticizes reality.
You will be introduced to the techniques of landscape painting, tonal handling of lights and shadows, creating the radiant harmony of cool and warm hues, and bringing it all together.
We will work in-studio, where no distractions, such as wind, changing light or temperature take your attention away from learning all these steps. The indoor painting experience is the best way to get prepared for painting outdoors. I will provide beautiful images of countryside landscapes, or you are welcome to use your own.
Every student will make a unique painting of a different landscape - no two paintings will be alike!
All levels are welcome, no art experience is needed. Receive personalized instruction from the instructor.
At the end of the class, you will take home your finished, ready-to-hang acrylic painting.
