Music and Threads: GOH live at Visions Museum of Textile Art
"Music and Threads" is a performance series featuring musicians and sound artists held at Visions Museum of Textile Art. The series will occur on First Fridays in July, August, and September.
On July 3 from 5:30-7:00 PM, Goh Kurosawa, the “Musical Wakonyosai” or Bicultural Music Samurai, will perform alongside "Quilts Japan: The 17th Quilt Nihon" exhibition featuring 39 award-winning Japanese quilts. Goh is a composer-guitarist-singer recognized for his "Lovetap" technique, percussive elements, heartfelt singing, as well as infusing fingerpicking and flamenco with electric guitar pedals. Based in California and travelling the world from Japan, his original genre blends world music, jazz, folk, rock, and even classical. Guided by the audience's energy and Honey Beast, his acoustic guitar, Goh's performances deliver emotionally expressive experiences that captivate listeners worldwide.
