Music and Threads at VMOTA
This August First Friday, VMOTA has something for everyone! Local artist, Abraham German will perform. A dedicated songwriter, he has written dozens of original works spanning pop, rock, and musical theater, sharing his music with audiences through live performances and a growing online following.
Additionally, each month a different artwork from our Permanent Collection will be on display for First Fridays: In August, it’s "Corona de Plumas" (2023) by Deborah Kruger, which was newly acquired just this year.
For crafting fun, create your own colorful marine “Coral Reef” soft sculpture using repurposed yarn balls, threads, and textiles under the guidance of VMOTA’s Education intern, Karla! This craft is inspired by exhibiting artist Marita Setas Ferro.
