Learn Basketry Basics!

Beginners welcome! Ages 16+years! This class is perfect for anyone new to basket weaving! In this 4 hour workshop, Instructor Marsha Orr will guide you as you learn to create a beautiful woven bowl while learning essential techniques like working with a wooden slotted base, twining, twill weave, and finishing with a matchstick rim. You’ll choose from several gorgeous dyed reeds, and all you need to bring is an old towel and sturdy scissors; a spray bottle is helpful but optional. Your finished basket will be approximately 5″ wide by 5″ high.
No experience necessary. Ages 16+ welcome.
