Create your own no-sew fabric mosaic!
Select a date from the drop-down menu.

Beginners welcome! Ages 14+years! Discover the Japanese art of Kinusaiga, a beautiful fabric technique that transforms colorful scraps of cloth into a stunning work of art—all without a needle or thread. In this 3‑hour, beginner‑friendly workshop, you’ll explore color and texture as you design your own decorative fabric mosaic. You’ll be guided step‑by‑step through sketching your picture and then using a simple method of tucking fabric into grooves to bring your design to life, one vibrant piece at a time.

Kinusaiga is wonderfully relaxing and surprisingly addictive—a chance to slow down, get creative, and enjoy the deeply satisfying process of making something by hand. All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own fabric scraps (even tiny ones)—including cherished pieces of clothing or meaningful textiles you’d like to repurpose into your artwork. Each student will create an 8×8” project to take home.

No experience necessary. Ages 14+ welcome.
A $5 materials fee (cash only) will be collected by the instructor at the start of class.
