Gallery 176 Opening Event

Join Arts District Liberty Station at the inaugural opening of Gallery 176! The opening event will be held on Friday March 6th, from 4pm-6pm on the first floor of Building 176.

This exhibition features work from High Tech Middle School 8th grade students, under the direction of artist and educator, Araceli Carrera. The exhibition is titled "Culture, Identity & Self-Love", where the students explored the meaning behind the three words through elements of art, a variety of materials, imagination, research and trust. The essential questions which guided the process in art class were:
1. What does it mean to be an artist?
2. Why is art important?
3. How can art represent my culture, identity, and self-love?

The student artists invite you to take a look at their artwork and explore their artistic journey together. Each piece will be for sale throughout the exhibition.
