Fiber Weavings - Patti Chamberlin
Working with gathered pine needles and natural materials, I create woven texture, form, and the relationship between traditional and contemporary design.
I start each of my pieces with an idea in mind, and once I start weaving, that idea goes to the wind. I let the pieces “talk to me,” and they tell me where we’re heading on each one.
My work as a fiber artist is a little unconventional; I am fascinated by shapes and spaces whether negative or positive. Movement is a re-occurring theme in my work. I have fun pushing myself to experiment all the time.
