Bharatanatyam: A Journey Through Tradition and Innovation
Two immigrant teaching artists from India who practice and perform the Indian classical dance form of Bharatanatyam, use their strong roots in the form to explore a wide range of repertories: traditional movement dynamics of two dancing bodies, mythological stories and themes of migration and conflicting identities, thus journeying through tradition to innovation in the form, drawing on their own lived experiences.
