Afternoon/Afterschool Series | Woodworking for Teens | 13+yrs

This class meets weekly, 4 times each month
Choose from:
Tuesdays from 4-6pm
Wednesdays from 2-4pm
Ages 13-18 welcome!

Lead instructor, Steffi Dotson, teaches this class that covers the properties of wood, machine safety and woodworking basics. Students will learn a mix of woodworking techniques, including hand tools and safe practice of machine operations. Depending on the specific project, joinery techniques, proper sanding and finishing are part of the curriculum. Each attendee will make their own project. Because safety is top priority, and each student works at their own speed, students are not always guaranteed to finish a project within the month-long class series. We encourage enrolling for multiple months to keep learning more skills.

All materials are included. The projects in this class rotate, and we encourage students to repeat to continue learning and dive deeper into woodworking.

Drop-ins are welcome! Is your child curious about woodworking & taking this class? Choose ‘Drop In Date’ from the drop-down menu on the website (please purchase 48 hours in advance so we can have supplies ready) and tell us which date you’re child will come in the Notes section at checkout.
