2 Year Anniversary - Live Painting Demo
Come celebrate my 2 year anniversary at Liberty Station! I’ll be doing something a little different in the studio, and you’re invited!
I will be live painting a technique that I love, and that I often use in my own art, that you’ll see exclusively in my Liberty Station studio. My demonstration will use a mixed-media approach combining drawing and painting.
As I work, I’ll share about my artistic and teaching philosophy. Get a peek behind the curtain of my art-making process.
My intention is to surprise those who come with a different use of the materials than is typical - such as a new approach to color mixing, incorporating spontaneous decision-making, and achieving a specific tonality and color harmony.
My objective is to help everyone who comes expand their own artistic means in some way, regardless of their experience, or preferred medium or genre.
I'll start with a short talk about what to watch for during the demo. Throughout the process I'll make comments as I work, and at the end, I'll allow time for questions or comments. I'll be happy to explain any part of my technique.
Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided as refreshments during the demonstration. There will be 2 hours of demonstration, and an additional hour for Q&A.
