Sellers Plaza and Gate One
Walking tour sign is located by flag pole in Seller's Plaza
The oldest part of historic NTC, the anchor and main gate create a memorable landmark for all visitors and recruits alike. Named for the base’s first commander, Sellers Plaza serves as the Naval Training Center’s front door. Twin guard buildings flank the gate with the steel arch added in 1932. For years, Gate One was the only entrance left open past curfew. So if sailors stayed out too late, they were discovered on their way back in.
