Malashock Dance Company: You Are Here/Usted Esta Aqui
Malashock Dance shares the completion of it’s residency at the San Diego airport with a free community performance of YOU ARE HERE/USTED ESTA AQUI. This dance project integrates a wide range of oral histories from San Diego residents and visitors to bring vibrant community narratives to life. Oral history interviews gathered from diverse communities and individuals in San Diego will form the soundtrack for the dance performances, which include solo, duet, and group choreography that is responsive and representative of the narrative. This work is embodied by Malashock Dance Company members under the direction of Christopher K. Morgan.
