Intro to Fused Glass

2-day workshop, May 20th from 5pm-8pm and 21st from 9am – 1pm
This 2-part workshop is designed to teach students the basics of woodworking with hand tools. We’ll construct a wooden plant stand using half-lap, dowel, and notched joinery. Students will learn how to safely use a chisel and mallet, along with other hand tools such as a card scraper, spokeshave. We will show sharpening techniques for hand tools, glueing up the project, and how to apply finish to the plant stands.
Materials will be provided. This class is open to all levels, but taking Intro to the Woodshop first is recommended.

Please note: This workshop takes place indoors and masks are currently required for all students regardless of vaccination status.
