Murphy Development began San Diego development operations in the Otay Mesa submarket. The first two MDC award-winning Otay Mesa projects completed were the 80-acre, 1,350,000 square foot San Diego Business Park and the 155 acre, 2,000,000 square foot Brown Field Business Park.
Murphy Development has 3 current projects, Siempre Viva Business Park, Brown Field Technology Park, and Scripps Ranch Technology Park. The 155 acre, 2,100,000 square foot Siempre Viva Business Park in Otay Mesa is nearing completion. Building 16, a highly improved 159,631 square foot food processing facility, was completed for Circle Foods (now Tyson Foods) in December 2008. The final two SVBP buildings 17 and 18 will total 201,000 square feet upon completion. The sites are fully improved and entitled, and the buildings available on a build-to-suit basis.
Grading is nearing completion and Murphy Development is underway on preleasing its fourth Otay Mesa development, the Brown Field Technology Park. The project is located on Otay Mesa Road, across from the City of San Diego owned Brown Field Airport. The development is situated at the Britannia Boulevard diamond interchange for the SR-905. Brown Field Technology Park is fully entitled and master planned for up to 2,000,000 square feet of corporate industrial, technology, and office product.
MDC acquired the 31 acre Scripps Ranch Technology Park in Q3 of 2014 from Intel Corporation. Located in the center of San Diego’s growing technology, defense, and biotech market, the park is a few short blocks off I-15 via three major interchanges, Carroll Canyon Road, Miramar/Pomerado Road, and Mira Mesa Boulevard.
One of San Diego’s few remaining improved and fully entitled sites, Scripps Ranch Technology Park will deliver over 1,000,000 square feet of state-of-the-art, LEED certified buildings. SRTP offers 100 year old eucalyptus trees, neighborhood amenities, and proximity to a highly educated labor pool.
