Liberty Station is the place to SKATE, CREATE and CELEBRATE this holiday season. Organizers have planned a wide range of activities, celebrations, shopping, dining…and skating to ensure festive holidays for all!  Enjoy holiday classes making ornaments, crafts or wreaths, see dance and music performances or enjoy outdoor movies.

Fantasy on Ice, benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital, returns for another season of holiday fun starting November 17 and remains open until January 8. Last year, over 30,000 skaters took to the ice for the inaugural year. As an added bonus, rink-side vendors will be on site to create a winter village marketplace.

A new temporary light art installation with a variety of figurative cutouts by San Diego artist Ben Cabral will delight visitors starting November 16 with its whimsy inspired by the “Collect Beautiful Moments” sign along the Liberty Station roadway.

After a festive skate, shoppers are encouraged to wander through 16 historic buildings and visit the over 80 artists, galleries and museums to shop for Holiday Gifts with a Creative Twist. Locally-made unique works of art, handmade jewelry and furniture make great gifts that are unique, creative and support our arts and culture community.

ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station is a great spot to host your holiday party. Check out one of the many unique dining experiences or visit VENUES Liberty Station to book your next event.

Don’t miss a chance to take your photo by our giant holiday tree, a gift to the Navy in 1929! A feature this year will be the official lighting of the 90 ft. Norfolk Pine on November 30. Our monthly free Friday Night Liberty gallery walk will feature open studios and performances (November 4 & December 2) and the annual Holiday Block Party on December 10 will be a festive highlight for all ages.
